An imaginary world that fulls of happiness

Suddenly I think of this proverb “All work and no play make jack a dull boy” which means “It means that without time off from work, a person becomes both bored and boring”.

Why I think of this? Since I’m back from Korea, I have a lot of conf call and work. I have to do some self study on the code too. I’m totally tired and feel life is boring if I keep on working only.

Weekend is coming and I want to have a good rest this weekend. I’m planning to go for facial again since I’m tired and want to relax myself.

It’s time for me to OT again. I have to make sure I learn everything and master the Korean Application.

I’m back from Korea but I’m extremely tired and exhausted…

While there, I’m extremely busy and did not have much time for sightseeing or shopping. Every day I just work. The earliest time I can go back is around 730 to 8pm. And the latest I work is until 10pm.
As conclusion, I will not prefer to go for business trip again next time. I’m not use to work late at night anymore. I prefer balance life where I have my own time for relaxing.

I’m tired again… Time for me to relax and sleep soon… Good night!

My Korea business trip is now confirmed. I’ll be going on 5th June 2010 and will be back on the 12th June 2010. I start to be a little bit excited because I never been to Seoul, Korea before.

I have start a little bit of research where I can go for a walk or shopping on Sunday but I do not have much time now… I have a lot of thing not yet prepared for this business trip. I have not start to pack my thing. So, I have to start thinking now and I plan to pack everything by tomorrow’s night in case I have forgotten anything.
Then, I have not printed my work document and also my travel document. I have to start printing all by end of today. Time to work now…

Today I have email confirmation on my business trip to Korea on the second week of June… I will be there for 4 days. I’m supposed to be happy and excited but I’m just not.

Why I’m not happy? Maybe I start to have a lot of worries again. Whenever I’m on business trip, there will be a something bad happened and I’m worried the history repeating again. I will in dilemma whether this is a good or bad chance?
Hopefully this business trip to Korea will be a good route for my career path. And when I’m back from Korea, everything stills the same…

Since last Tuesday I have new task to do at work. I have assigned to support one Korean application that will retired end of this year. Why? The Korean guy that supports this application is resigned and will be leaving this Friday. So, I was busy learning the Korean application which in Korean language. This make me headache as i do not speak or read Korean at all.

Everyday, the Korean guy will KT (knowledge transfer) the application to me. I have to remember and understand the whole architecture. This will be a great challenge to me for this year. At first, I’m not really interested in supporting this project because I do not want to do support. But, since I’m free, I do not mind to learn and support it. But now I notice that there are a lot of things that I can learn from this project. I’m grateful to my previous lead that assigned this project to me.

Then, today I have news from my manager. He told me that he will transfer me out from the team. I will be no longer in this team but will discuss with the new manager before transferring me out. But after lunch, I received an email mention that I have been transfer out from the team. Actually I’m quite unhappy but then after think awhile, this might be a good chance for me since I have nothing to do in this team and i can’t future here working in this team. But I still will be doing the Korean project and then also some minor work in my new team.

In new team, I will have less chances do .Net since I’m assigned to do something called Informatica. I’m not sure what this is. Maybe is good for me to learn new thing. But I still request to my new lead that my preference is on .Net.

Hopefully everything will be fine and I have a good working environment and relationship in the new team.

Welcome my hp colleagues to read my blog… I never know you guys reading my blog quietly and never told me about it… I really surprise because I never give link to my colleague except friends. I wonder how many of you reading my blog? I will feel shy to write my personal things when my colleague is reading it. Then I have to put everything in private.

Thanks to Chow Sin for telling me. Luckily I never talk anything bad about you guys. Haha… I need to be extra careful when talk bad things about them.

This morning, i went for on boarding session in HP Tower KL. The HP Tower is located in Bukit Damansara. I think I have long time never drive to KL in the weekday on office hours.
I really hate the traffic jam in the morning. I start to drive from my house at 7:15am and I reach HP Tower at 8:45am. I took 1.5 hours to drive from Puchong to KL. OMG! Traffic Jam!!!

Luckily I was on time for the on boarding session. When I reach the enterance of HP Tower at ground floor, one of the staff, ask us to go to 5th floor to start the on boarding session. The session is quite long and is ended late. The session ended around 12:15pm. Then, I have to rush back home to Puchong for my short lunch and then take my laptop. After that, I have to drive to Cyberjaya to work in the afternoon… I reach Cyberjaya office around 1:40pm.

This is really a very tired journey. So, today at 5:30pm, I packed my thing and ready to go home on-time.

Time flies very fast. I already work one week in HP. How’s my first week in HP? Hhhmm… Let me think? I’m not sure what I have learned in one week. But on my first day, I get my laptop and start to do some installation. Then, I have briefing from HR and also my team lead. Then on the second day, I have training conference call. On the first training, I’m a bit blur and not clear about the product that I’m going handle. Then, on Wednesday, I have department meeting. On Thursday again, I have training call from US. And finally on Friday morning, I have meeting with team lead. On the afternoon, finally I have my own time to do my own work. I’m not sure what I have done on the first week of work but for sure I have done something on the first week of work.

About my colleagues, they all are friendly but I think I need time to know them more. There are 15 peoples in my team includes my team lead. Until now I still not really remember all the names.

I still not use to the new environment and still missed TRW a lot… I missed my ex-colleague very much. I now know KK’s feeling when he started his new work at damansara alone. I think I’m considered more lucky because I still have sw here with me and I still can meet my ex-colleague for lunch.

Today, I have joined TRW CNY lunch that called ‘收工酒’ at Restaurant Hi Thian, Equine Park. I will feel a bit weird because this lunch is organized by my ex-company. Why I joined? One simple reason is I still missed TRW colleagues.
Actually I’m quite happy to see them especially my ex-manager where I really respect him as good manager. He really helps me a lot when I work in TRW. He gives me a lot of guides and chances to grow in TRW. I really miss TRW colleagues a lot.

The foods and the restaurant environment are good. But most important is we all happily celebrated our ‘收工酒’ together even some of us is not same company but I will always treats we are one big happy family.

Almost forget to mention, the organizer of this event is Jenny where she is my buddy when I’m first joined TRW. She is really a good organizer and friendly colleague. Thanks to her for organizing this event and also invites us.

History repeating again??

In my previous job, my team mate name is Jason and now my currently team lead is Jason too.. Coincident? Both attitude also a bit same.. haha… Then, another thing is i met my uni-mate in my previous company. One guy that i only know him on my first year of uni. After our graduation, we never meet again … Now in my new company, i met another uni-mate again. I know him in my first year of uni too.. Then, we never meet again after we graduated. Coincident again?

For me, i do hope is just coincidents and do not hope history to be repeated twice.. I just wanna move forward and forget those unhappy past…
